The legends of Greece and Troy are locked in an endless war, once fought for honour and glory. Amid the chaos, Trojan prince Troilus and Cressida pledge eternal love… but this is not the story you think you know.
Eight years on, the conflict has become a futile stalemate. The glamour of battle has worn thin, Troy is crumbling, and the Greek camp is little more than a desolate wasteland. The heroes of myth now appear flawed, ego-driven, and all too human.
In his Globe debut, director Owen Horsley (Twelfth Night, Regent’s Park Open Air) turns Shakespeare’s rarely performed satire into a sharp exploration of celebrity culture, hollow heroism, and the dangerous gap between myth and reality.
