Museum Street, York, England, United Kingdom, YO1 7FR
On Saturday 27th September, during the York Unlocked weekend, Dr Liam Herringshaw of York's Hidden History is donning his Yorkshire Philosophical Society hat to lead a geological lunchtime stroll round Museum Gardens.
The walk starts outside the YPS Lodge at 12.45 (Google Maps location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TXi1YEDWAnvupfiR6; What3Words location: https://what3words.com/enjoyable.bunny.honey) and will last around an hour. We will explore the gardens, discussing its history, some of the significant Earth scientists who have worked and visited here, and the interesting rock and fossil specimens to be found.
The walk is free, but places are limited, so we strongly recommend booking a ticket via this page. If you are unable to attend the walk and have booked a ticket, please let us know so we can reallocate the ticket to another person.
The YPS Lodge is open from 10-12 and 2-4 on Saturday 27th September as part of York Unlocked. To find out more about the Yorkshire Philosophical Society, visit https://www.ypsyork.org/. To see
