About the instructor

Pin Pin Su teaches tai chi in conjunction with qi gong, with the philosophy that mind, body, and spirit are all interrelated. She combines her Eastern medicinal healing roots with a Western twist for an all-encompassing mind/body experience. When not in a classroom, she has private patients that come to her for one-on-one expressive therapy.

Tai chi is part of our High Line Wellness programming, designed specifically with older adults in mind. Adults of any age are invited to join the High Line to learn, move, have fun, and connect with neighbors. Wellness activities, educational sessions, cultural engagements, and other events are offered on and near the park, in collaboration with local community-based organizations that serve older adults in Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, and on the West Side of Manhattan.

和 Pin Pin Su 一起打太极

太极被誉为终极身心锻炼,通常被描述为“动态冥想”。从有几百年历史的中国道家武术的标准姿势演化而来,太极的动作缓慢、流畅、连贯。活动免费向公众开放。
