On this tour you will visit Houmas House, an old southern manor housebuilt before the Civil War. Throughout the 2-3 hour tour, you will be accompanied by an expert guide, from whom you will learn about the history of the plantation and the residence.

Step back in time with a visit to Houmas House, a beautifully preserved 19th-century Southern mansion and former sugar plantation. During this 2–3 hour experience, an expert guide will share the history of the estate and offer insight into the lives of those who once lived and worked there.

As you tour the grounds, encounter staff dressed in period costumes that recreate the atmosphere of the Old American South. You’ll also see antique tools and artifacts used in sugar production and learn about the processes that once took place in the surrounding fields.
