Overview
Celebrate Luna Park's 90th anniversary with Council Historian Dr Ian Hoskins as he explores the significance of the Park's fairground art.
About this Event

In 1935, Luna Park transformed the grim industrial waterfront of Milsons Point and Lavender Bay into a fantastical ‘city’ of light and fun where social decorum could be set aside. It survives with some original fabric intact as one of the world’s longest operating amusement parks.

A showcase of some original artwork and artefacts from Stanton Library’s collection will also be available for viewing.

Accessibility

This event will be held on Level 1 and is accessible for people using mobility aids via lift. A hearing loop is also installed.
