This full-day whitewater rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the American River is an exciting adventure for thrill-seekers. After meeting at 8:15 AM in Auburn, you'll embark on a 45-minute van ride to Oxbow Reservoir, where you'll gear up and start your rafting journey. The adventure kicks off with a splash at Good Morning rapid, followed by the iconic Tunnel Chute rapid just over a mile downstream.
After navigating five miles of Class III/IV rapids, the river calms down, offering time for rock jumping, surfing, and 'riding the bull' as you float through the canyon to a riverside lunch stop. Post-lunch, the rapids intensify again with challenging spots like Chunder Falls, Parallel Parking, and Ski Jump, boosting your adrenaline before reaching the mandatory walk around Ruck-A-Chucky Falls, where you can watch your guides run their raft down a Class VI waterfall. The trip ends at the historic Greenwood Bridge site, with return transport to your vehicle around 4:00 PM.
