About this Event

Free showing - Oasis in Space

Please note this show is free and tickets are very limited. If you make a reservation and are unable to attend, please cancel these directly or let us know as soon as possible so that we may release seats to those who can.

This showing is part of our "The Universe, on Us" Series of Free Community Programs at the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium.

Why is Venus considered the hottest planet in the Solar System? Is Saturn the only Solar planet with rings? And what can possibly hide under the icy surface of Jupiter’s moon, Europa? These and more questions are answered, as we visit the Sun in its cradle, the Earth as it used to be, the neighboring planets as they are today, and maybe even a yet undiscovered world which awaits our visit in the future.

Program length is one hour and is recommended for visitors age 8 and up. Children under 5 are not permitted at this program.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before show time, because late arrivals may not be seated for safety reasons in our darkened planetarium.

If you are not already familiar with the location of the planetarium, please be sure to understand our location using the map here on Eventbrite or here: Planetarium location in Google Maps For our public programs, you will be able to park in the I-37 parking lot off of Iroquois Drive directly next to Buffalo State University's Science and Math Complex which houses the planetarium.
