About this Event
The 3rd Neilson Park Creative Festival takes place on Saturday, July 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with live music continuing through the afternoon!
This is a free, family-friendly event please register on Eventbrite to help us plan for the day!
Celebrate summer with a vibrant day of creativity in the park! Discover over 20 art and fine craft vendors offering handmade items like paintings, drawings, jewellery, textiles, home décor, soaps, pottery, toys, and more!
🎶 Live outdoor performances will run throughout the day, featuring student rock and jazz bands from The Music Studio, award-winning spoken word poet Desiree Mckenzie, smooth soul trio Bitter&Broke, and surf-rock headliners The Surfrajettes.
🎨 Witness artists in action at our Plein-Air Painting Competition, where participants will paint the landscape in real time, with an exhibition and award ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
🧒 Free kids’ art activities will run all day! Drop in for creative workshops like Rock Families (personalized painted rocks) and Family Photo Frame: Floral Garland (watercolour floral garland painting). Activities are hosted inside the Centre to help you stay cool.
🏛️ Head indoors to enjoy refreshments and explore IMPACT 2025, NPCC’s most anticipated juried art exhibition, showcasing outstanding work across disciplines. You’ll also find studio demos and displays by NPCC’s talented Resident Groups including calligraphy, quilting, rug crafting, weaving, and more!
🍔 Feeling hungry or looking to cool down? Grab delicious eats from RJ’s Roadhouse, serving smash burgers, poutine, and hand-cut fries, and treat yourself to some refreshing gelato from Joy Foods!
