Find inspiration in the Portrait Hall at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and join artist Laura Sharp Wilson for an incredible two-session portraiture workshop. Create a mixed media adorned portrait of yourself or someone else, bring a photograph for reference or draw your likeness from a mirror, focus on realism or exaggerate and invent! This workshop will cover basic figure drawing methods, mixed media techniques, and more!
Creative Aging at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts:

This fall, the UMFA Creative Aging program is offering three workshops taught by guest artist educators: Offerings of Memory (4 sessions), Shibori with Jane DeGroff (two sessions), and Artist Mediums and Methods (6 sessions). In addition, there will be two workshops, Linoleum Prints and The Adorned Portrait (two sessions each), taught by UMFA Manager of Studio Programs Laura Sharp Wilson.
This program has bloomed with more folks interested in signing up. We kindly ask that you only register for one of the guest artist workshops: Offerings of Memory, Shibori with Jane DeGroff, or Artist Mediums and Methods. In addition, you may also sign up for either Linoleum Prints or The Adorned Portrait, only one of these two per person. We appreciate your understanding so that we can accommodate all those who are interested in joining creative aging programming. For more information or questions please contact Laura Sharp Wilson, manager of studio programs, at laura.wilson@umfa.utah.edu | 801.585.6176.
