Cruise around Pittsburgh's historic districts during this fun and informative bicycle tour. Ride alongside a local guide and discover the vibrant neighborhoods of Lawrenceville, the Strip District, Millvale, and Deutschtown. Along the way, visit four local breweries and sample ten different craft beers.
You’ll learn about the history of these areas while enjoying the local flavors. You can bring your own bike or use one of the bikes and helmets provided. If you'd like to extend your experience, bring extra cash for a post-ride dinner. Save money on your ticket by bringing your own bike.
What to expect:
Meet your local guide at the David Lawrence Convention Center and start your Pittsburgh brewery tour with your first beer. Pedal through the Cultural District on your way to the first brewery.
Explore East Allegheny, a neighborhood with deep German roots, before stopping at Allegheny City Brewing for your second beer. Continue to Penn Brewery, Pittsburgh's first craft brewery, where you'll learn about its rich history.
As you ride along the river trail, you'll pass the old Heinz factory, where Heinz ketchup was invented, and head to Gristhouse Craft Brewery for more beer samples. Take in stunning views of Pittsburgh's skyline from the Three Rivers Heritage Trail while enjoying local snacks.
Pedal through the small neighborhood of Millvale and across the 40th Street Bridge for unique views of the city. Stop at Eleventh Hour Brewing for more tastings, and enjoy a special corn dog to fuel you for the final leg of the tour.
As you ride through Lawrenceville, discover its vibrant local scene full of shops, bars, and restaurants. See the transformation of the Strip District with its market house, food vendors, and colorful atmosphere.
Finish the tour with one last drink at Aslin Beer Company, rounding out your beer experience.
