About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us for a fun and interactive MSS Mindfulness summer camp. During the 4 sessions, delivered across 4 weeks, your child will be introduced to various mindfulness practices through games, crafts and music. They will learn ways to tune into themselves, attend to themselves and come into the moment.

This is a programme developed by MSS for Primary School children and has been successfully delivered across primary schools in Midlothian including Lawfield, Bonnyrigg, Easthouses and Woodburn to name a few.

‘Time to be themselves and learn a little bit more about noticing their own feelings and emotions….the pupils have looked forward to sessions and have been more settled as a result.’ Teacher reporting on what her group experienced from the Mindfulness sessions.

The sessions will be hosted by Laura Kinsler, MSS Mindfulness Practitioner and an Early Years Learning Assistant. Laura has been practicing Mindfulness for the last 10 years, has a published paper on Mindfulness and is a trained Presence in Action Practitioner. She has been working with children for the past 4 years and has spent the last 2 years delivering the MSS Mindfulness Programme in Schools.

When? 2pm to 4pm Tuesday 1st July, 8th July, 15th July, 22nd July for 9 to 11 year olds.
