Stop At: Culmhead
Take off on a 30-minute introduction to motorgliding over the stunning Devonshire countryside. After a pre-flight briefing, you’ll have the option to try flying the aircraft yourself under the guidance of a fully qualified flying instructor. Prefer to just relax? Sit back and enjoy panoramic views through the large bubble canopy, perfect for photography. Highlights include the northern edge of the Blackdown Hills, Culmstock Beacon, Wellington Monument, and historic WWII airfields at Culmhead and Upottery.

Stop At: Upottery
See Culmstock Beacon, originally built as a fire beacon in 1588 to signal the approach of the Spanish Armada.

Stop At: Wellington Monument
Admire the tallest three-sided obelisk in the world. Completed in 1820, it rises 175 feet above the Somerset countryside.

Stop At: Devon
Fly over Culmhead Airfield, a former WWII RAF station, now disused.

Stop At: Culmstock
View RAF Upottery (also known as Smeatharpe), another important WWII airfield.
