Audience: Faith community leaders, both paid and lay/volunteer
Time Commitment: 1 day
This one-day workshop is designed to equip faith community leaders with the skills and resources necessary to minister effectively to individuals impacted by suicide. Participants will learn how to create worship resources, train congregation members in suicide awareness and basic conversation skills, and extend invitations to those who have experienced suicidal thoughts to share their stories. The workshop will engage participants in exploring how to cultivate a soul-safe culture within their congregations.
Lunch is on your own. There is a cafateria in the building.
Cost is free to attendees.
PARKING:
The parking garage is located at 42 S Missouri St, Indianapolis, IN 46204. The corner is Washington St. (1 way N) Missouri runs E-W.
On that corner you will see the Government Center; head in the opposite of the 1 way on Washington and turn L just past Senate Ave
to get to the public entrance. In the building go straight. You will come to an escalator and set of elevators. There will be two
"hallways" on either side of the elevators - one of which is labelled Harrison Hall. Head to Room 18
