About this Event

Join Wayne for a tour through St. Louis's food and drink scene past and present. We will be visiting a curated group of BBQ joints & local breweries based on guest input, and of course beer/bbq style matching.

Wether it is the boutique brewery experience of world renowned Side Project Brewing or the million barrel plus Anheuser-Busch Biergarten, guest will be immersed in Saint Louis history, culture, tasty brews, and delicious St. Louis barbecue.

What To Expect

  1. Anheuser-Busch Brewery
    We will visit the historic Anheuser-Busch Brewery and Biergarten. A uniquely St. Louis experience, created as an ode to the rich history and brew portfolio found only within Anheuser-Busch.
    Additional Brewery Tours may be purchased individually. Options include the Cellar Tour, Brewmaster Tour, and Clydesdale VIP Tour.

The Gateway Arch (Pass By)
The world-famous Gateway Arch will be viewable throughout our journey.

  1. Schlafly Tap Room
    The first brewery opening since prohibition kicked off the craft beer movement in 1991. Schlafly Tap Room is the quintessential Schlafly experience and is a window into the beginning of the revolution in craft beer in St. Louis.

  2. Pappy's Smokehouse
    Dubbed "The best BBQ in the USA" in 2015, this stalwart of St. Louis BBQ is the granddaddy of many local BBQ joints.
    Highlights include ribs, pulled pork, and The Adam Bomb (named after Adam Richmond of "Man vs. Food" fame).

Busch Stadium (Pass By)
"Baseball Heaven"
We will be making passes by the home of the 11-time World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.

  1. 4 Hands Brewery
    4 Hands Brewing Company is located just blocks from downtown St. Louis. The tasting room features current year-round, seasonal, and limited beers on draft. Alongside draft beer, a selection of hard seltzers, 1220 Spirits, and Withered Oak cocktails are available.
    Food is available for purchase (if BBQ isn't someone's favorite)
    The upstairs tasting room features Skee-Ball and classic arcade games that are free to play during open hours.

  2. Side Project Brewing
    The renowned Side Project Brewing Co. is St. Louis' only 100% barrel-aged brewery. Passion, experimentation and patience drive the creation of world-class rustic Saisons, Wild Ales and Spirit Barrel-Aged Ales.
    Note: This stop is optional, but a must for wild ale and sour beer devotees.

  3. Bogart's Smokehouse
    Located in the historic Soulard neighborhood, Bogart's is a staple in the StL BBQ scene and has the crown of "Best BBQ in St. Louis" from Yelp.
    Come for the apricot "glazed & torched" ribs and stay for the pastrami and tri-tip.

  4. Civil Life Brewing Co.
    The award-winning Civil Life resides in an old warehouse in South City, honoring the traditional pub-style atmosphere with cold brews, a limited food menu, and a no-nonsense commitment to their craft.
    Signature drafts include a milk stout, German Wheat, Prairie Pilsner and English Pale Ale, and a variety of options are available to-go.

  5. Urban Chestnut Grove Brewery and Bierhall
    Urban Chestnut's flagship facility, the Grove Brewery & Bierhall (formerly a paper company built in the 1920s), opened in February 2014.
    Located in St. Louis' Grove neighborhood, this brewery is a large, industrial-style bierhall and serves the finest European-inspired beers and cuisine.

  6. Sugarfire Smoke House
    Chef Mike Johnson has studied with Myron Mixon, cooked under Emeril Lagasse and Charlie Trotter, and has overseen the creation of six other restaurants.
    Sugarfire has won numerous awards. They were named Best Barbecue by the Travel Channel, St. Louis Magazine, Feast Magazine, and have won awards at the Memphis in May World Barbecue Championships.
