What To Expect
This one-of-a-kind experience allows you to connect with a local San Diego resident and immerse yourself in both traditional Indian culture and modern fusion cuisine.
Your host, Nenu, will greet you at her stunning home, perched above a lake in a gated, golfing community of San Diego. As you sip on a refreshing drink, Nenu will share fascinating stories about life in San Diego.
Next, head to Nenu's open kitchen, where she will teach you how to prepare a flavorful Indian fusion meal that blends authentic Indian ingredients and techniques with contemporary twists. Watch Nenu prepare 2-3 delicious dishes during the approximately two-hour cooking demonstration.
Once the meal is ready, you’ll enjoy it at her dining table or, if the weather allows, outside with scenic views. On select days, Nenu's family may join you, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The meal consists of three courses:
Appetizer: Black pepper and cumin flavored pork served in tacos with pickled onions and radishes.
Main Course: Tandoori chicken or mint fish bowl, paired with spinach rice, a drizzle of mint sauce, and sautéed spiced vegetables.
Dessert: Either rice pudding or kulfi, a traditional Indian ice cream made with vanilla, saffron, and mango.
A glass of wine is included with your experience, making it a perfect evening of food, culture, and new connections.
