Join our rescheduled Pride Campout at Cherry Creek State Park!
Outdoor Asian and Latino Outdoors are teaming up to host a community campout for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and families.
Originally scheduled for June, we had to reschedule due to extreme temperatures. We’re excited to gather soon for a weekend of connection, nature, and joy. Join us and celebrate our community!
We have free giveaways for participants including free duffel bags from The North Face and giveaways and raffle items from Oboz Footwear! Registered families may recieve one duffle bag depending on availability.
Please Read Before Reserving Tickets: This event is created specifically for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and their families. We deeply appreciate the support of our allies, but we kindly ask that if you are not a part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community you hold off on reserving tickets until we open any remaining spots to the wider public on September 26th.
Thank you for helping us prioritize space for community members who this event is designed to serve.
Important: After registering, please remember to check your email for event updates. You will receive an email following your registration with a google form to fill out.
Skill level: Never camped before? No problem! This weekend is beginner friendly and family friendly.
About our Site/Campout: We have a group campsite at Cherry Creek State Park and will share more information about our meeting place with registered participants. We will have electrical outlets, picnic tables, potable water, and bathrooms available at our site. There are also bathrooms with showers close by.
Because of the size of our group we will be asking for support with meals and meal clean-up. Campout participants will be asked to support with cooking and cleaning.
Accessibility Information: Our group campsite has paved areas by our cooking area, bathrooms, and picnic tables. The area for tents is unpaved is a flat grass area.
If you or someone in your group needs specific accommodations, please reach out to us directly at outdoorasianco@gmail.com. We’ll do our best to support your needs and ensure you feel included and comfortable.
Activities: We are working on confirming activites with our community partners, more info will be shared after registration! Our current program lineup includes: camp cooking, fishing, archery, board games, s’mores, and more!
What to bring: Bring your camping essentials, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp chairs, etc. We will share a more detailed packing list after you complete your registration! If you need a tent, sleeping bag and/or a sleeping pad we will be able to provide one. You are also welcome to bring any games/activities you'd like and your own paddleboard, kayak, fishing poles, etc.
Pets: We love our furry friends, but we ask that you leave your pets at home this time.
Meals: All meals will be provided, including: dinner on Friday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday. Feel free to bring additional food or snacks for yourself or your group.
Parking & Fees: We are finalizing the parking and fee situation with the state park. We will send out details in our follow up email, closer to the event date.
