Join us for a Modeled by the Maker experience at the Dallas Museum of Art on Sunday, August 3, 2025!
Our afternoon field trip to the museum is designed to help us identify and overcome struggles with our bodies and appearances through considering art, God's Word, His creation in us, and His work through us.
Every first Sunday each month, the DMA offers FREE exhibition admission which means we can access all areas of the musem at no additional cost (with only one exception--Yayoi Kusama will not be included in the FREE First Sundays). So this will be a great day to go!
PARKING is available at the DMA's public parking garage for $20 until 9:00pm or in surrounding lots or metered spots along the street.
We will meet at 3:00pm at the Marble Statue of Queen Semiramis, pictured below, which can be found by walking straight in from the main entrance. This work of art is situated on Level 1 in the main hallway between the Horchow Auditorium and the Fleischner Courtyard.
After a short time sorting through Semiramis's story and an introduction to the book of Ephesians together, you will have free time to wander through the exhibits armed with a handful of questions to answer. Then we will reconvene at 4:30pm in the DMA Cafe table area to share our experience.
OPTIONAL PRE PARTY: The first 20 participants to meet at the Guest Services Desk near the Museum's entrance by 2:00pm will be led through all four floors by a DMA docent and visit some of the highlights of the Museum's global collection. This is a wonderful opportunity if this is your first time visiting the DMA. The Collections Highlights Tour will end at 3:00pm and we will wait for you to join us at Semiramis' statue.
Cannot wait to see everyone soon! Please RSVP! Tickets are FREE!
