The Tonto National Forest is the largest in Arizona and the Lower Salt River runs right through its heart. On this tour, admire the natural scenery from the water on a thrilling kayaking excursion. Set out from Saguaro Lake Ranch, paddle along the Salt River, and look out for native wildlife, including the park’s herd of wild horses.

What to Expect
FIFTEEN MINUTES PRIOR TO TRIP TIME – Arrive at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, verify waivers on file, prepare belongings. Water, sunscreen, and dry bags are for sale. Activity equipment will be distributed. Orientation will include basic paddling, water safety, and geography of the river. Group Orientation is mandatory.
Launch time – Your group launches into Salt River from the on-site location. Enjoy your trip!
Two hours approximately after launch time – Trip concludes at Foxtail Administration Site. Shuttle picks you and your gear for return to Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch.
