About this Event
Led by a local English-speaking food expert, this 3.5-hour culinary journey begins in Piazza Farnese and introduces you to the rich flavours, traditions, and hidden foodie gems of the Eternal City. Along the way, you’ll sample classic Italian dishes such as fresh pasta, artisanal gelato, and local specialties including fried artichokes, accompanied by carefully selected wine tastings.
The tour itinerary varies slightly depending on the departure time:
- Daytime option: Includes a visit to the famous Campo de' Fiori Market, where you’ll discover the fresh ingredients and culinary traditions behind Italian cuisine. Please note that the market is closed on Sundays.
- Afternoon option: Instead of the market, you’ll explore charming local food shops and specialty stores around the historic centre.
Both tours visit iconic culinary areas and landmarks such as Via dei Baullari, Antico Forno Roscioli, the ancient Jewish Ghetto, and the picturesque neighbourhood of Trastevere.
