Discover the fascinating past of Amelia Island on a 1.5-hour guided tour along the famous Eight Flags Road. Travelling in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus, you’ll learn why this island is the only place in the United States to have been ruled by eight different flags throughout its history.
The tour explores the historic streets of downtown Fernandina Beach and the original settlement of Amelia, while your expert guide shares stories of the island’s past — from the indigenous Timucua people to European settlers and the region’s development into today’s thriving shrimping hub.
The meeting point is at 1 N Front St in Fernandina Beach, next to the marina. Tours are conducted in English and limited to small groups of up to 10 participants, ensuring a relaxed and personalised experience.
