Ready for Something New? Learn to Square Dance!
Looking to get more active, meet new people, and try a fun, engaging hobby? The Duke City Square Dance Club invites you to their Beginning Square Dancing Class! This experience goes beyond learning steps—it’s about becoming part of a warm, welcoming community that loves to dance, laugh, and connect.
Enjoy great exercise, keep your mind sharp, and make new friends along the way. The 14-week beginner class starts on Thursday, January 8, 2026, meeting every Thursday evening from 7–9 pm. You’ll be guided from complete beginner to confident dancer—no experience required, and singles are always welcome. Come dressed casually and wear comfortable shoes that glide easily on a hardwood floor.
Not ready to commit to the full 14 weeks? Try the 4-week Introduction to Square Dance, offered on the same days and times.
What We Offer
This experience includes either a 14-week Beginning Square Dance class or a 4-week Introduction to Square Dance class, meeting weekly from 7–9 pm starting January 8, 2026, at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins NE, Albuquerque.
Students in the 14-week beginning class will learn 50 square dance calls, and by the end of the course, you’ll be ready to attend dances and festivals around the world.
