Discover, Create, and Connect at the Family Learning Festival
The Family Learning Festival is a free community celebration that transforms play into possibility. Held in Torrance each year, the festival welcomes more than 600 children, parents, and caregivers for a day filled with nature-inspired activities, hands-on learning, live entertainment, and access to essential early childhood resources.
Families explore interactive stations including arts and crafts, music, movement, and more, while connecting with local organizations offering health, education, and well-being services. The celebration features CFC’s Family Time early learning playgroups, available year-round in Santa Monica and Torrance.
This year’s theme, Spring Festival Celebration, brings Connections for Children’s 2nd Annual Family Learning Festival to life with a Lunar New Year–inspired experience welcoming the Year of the Horse. Activities include:
- Horse-themed arts and crafts for children
- Free giveaways
- Games and activities for all ages
- Two free books for every child, with selections from the Mija Bookfair
- Sign up for free children’s memberships to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
- Opportunity to enroll in low-cost memberships to the Cayton Children’s Museum
- Meet childcare educators and providers to explore care options
- Learn whether you qualify for free subsidized childcare
- Get information about Free Family Time Play Groups
- Dance and play with DJ Manny live
