About this Event
Our analog adventures are free events, with registration optional (and appreciated) but not required. Attendees have the option to purchase a roll or two of film and processing from our staff at the meeting point but are otherwise encouraged to bring whatever camera and film you’re interested in using. We’re also encouraging you to join us if you’re not shooting on film! We’re commited to bridging the gap between our analog and digital communities and believe that getting out, exploring, and capturing together will be our best path forward! So, with that in mind…
Join Pro Photo Supply and other local creatives for a film-centric (but not film-exclusive) photowalk at Mount Tabor to capture the 25th annual PDX Adult Soapbox Derby!
Some Things You Should Know:
- Experience level: Everyone
- Requirements: Bring your own camera and lens(es), or check out our Rental Department Counter
- Meeting Point: We'll meet at the finish line at 9:30am, 30 minutes prior to race start. After getting each participant there roll of film and getting our cameras loaded, we'll walk the track up to the starting point and pointing out spots that will feature a great vantage point to capture the action from along the way. Once the race start attendees will be free to move along the track as they wish, and extra rolls will be available for purchase should anyone wish to shoot more than a single roll.
- Pro Photo Staff will be on hand offering rolls of film (35mm and 120) for purchase, along with processing & high-resolution scans provided by Pro Photo Supply's Lab. Both at a discount! - First-come, first-serve
- Suggest Items to Bring (other than your camera): water/snacks, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate attire, and anything else needed for protection from the elements.
